cyanotypes

The process of cyanotype was invented in 1842 and I find it very modern, clean and fresh.  I don’t use lamps or other aids and feel that sunlight with the way it moves and curves round objects imparts a quality that is unique.  Gardens can contain many sensory ingredients that enable us to be transported back to places of our childhood and cyanotypes allow me to freeze-frame an atmosphere.  Plants come from my own garden but I also selectively gather from the wild and frequently use grasses and hedgerow flora because this, for me, can also convey the sense of a world disappearing.  Some works can be repeated but will have variations, still making them unique.

Prices start from £50 upwards and commissions are welcomed.
